He was a great tanker, 2nd tank battalion has a room dedicated to him at the 2nd tank headquarters at camp Lejeune. he loved his car, a red mustang. 
the guys miss him and a lot of meeting are held in the "Gooden Room" 
he died with no pain, it was quick, we wish he was here, we wish all our tankers were still here.

Bernard G. Gooden was a straight-A student who was excited to go overseas, said his mother, Carmen Thompkins of Mount Vernon, N.Y. Gooden, who grew up in Jamaica, was killed in a firefight April 4 in Iraq. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune.
