From Phyl Brown 09/26/06:

Hi. My name is PHYL BROWN. I am Joseph Carl Norquist's aunt. His mother, Sue Norquist, is my sister. I am enclosing a photo of Joey for you to post. I would like to be named as a survivor. My mother, Joey's grandmother, BARBARA KASONIC, would also like to be named as a survivor. I am a disabled United States Air Force veteran. My mother and I support the troops absolutely but not the war.

Thank you for honoring our finest women and men.

AP News

Joseph Carl Norquist liked to work out with weights and wrestle with his Army buddies. Mostly, though, he was known for his commitment. Norquist, from Martinez, Calif., was killed in Iraq on Oct. 9 when his convoy was attacked. Survivors include his parents, Sue and Carl Norquist.
