Jacob Matthew Madden, 28, of Grants Pass passed away October 31, 2011 at Fort Drum US Army Base in Fort Drum, New York.

He was born on November 27, 1982 in Grants Pass to David and Virginia (Davison) Madden. Growing up in Grants Pass attending local school and graduating from Hidden Valley High School in 2001. After the loss of his father in August 2008 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Afghanistan from 2009 – 2010. He married Kristina Mayo on January 7, 2011 in Grants Pass. He enjoyed playing video games, playing horseshoes with his dad, camping, spending time with his family especially his son Alexander.

In addition to his wife Kristina Madden of Grants Pass survivors include his son Alexander Madden of Grants Pass; mother Virginia Madden of Grants Pass; two brothers Jason Davison of Grants Pass and David Madden II of New York; Grandparents Pete and Patsy Davison of Grants Pass; grandmother Marge Coe of Grants Pass; numerous aunts and uncles.
