Robert G. Tenney Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - U.S. Army Sergeant Robert Gregory Tenney Jr., 29, gave the gift of his life to our Country June 29, 2011 in Badrah, Iraq. Sergeant Tenney was assigned to Grim Troop, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas. He graduated Princess Anne High School in 2000 and played in the marching band. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, upon a honorable discharge he joined the U.S. Army in 2006. Survivors include his parents, Annette C. Tenney and Robert G. Tenney Sr., and his sister, Virginia "Nena" Tenney. The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral, Kempsville Chapel. A celebration of Robby's life will be held Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services with full military honors will be held Wednesday, August 24, at 1 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery.
