Chief Warrant Officer Michael S. Duskin, 42, of Orange Park, Fla., died Oct. 23, in Chak District, Wardak Province, Afghanistan, from small arms fire while on dismounted patrol during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, N. C. He was a Special Forces Assistant Detachment Commander. This was his fifth deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and seventh in support of Overseas Contingency Operations.
A service will be held at JFK Chapel on Ft. Bragg on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends at a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Duskin; sons: Nathan and his wife, Jennifer, and Jacob; daughter, Alexis; grandson, Lucas; his parents, George & Claire Duskin; and sister, Ann Duskin-Chauffe and her husband, Ryan.

Two Two US Army 3rd Group Special Forces Members to Honor their fallen comrade, CW2 Michael Duskin “Big Mike” at the Nov 18th Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Monthly Match.
Clay Martin and Eric Eckhardt both members of the US Army 3rd Group S/F will honor their fallen brother, CW2 Michael Duskin “Big Mike” a US Army 3rd Group S/F member who was KIA on 23 October 2012 in Chak Valley Afghanistan. “Big Mike” and his son Jake are regulars at the Tarheel 3 Gun Events. Both Eric and Clay are very accomplished competitive shooters and often spent time away from work with “Big Mike” at several shooting matches.

In honor of their fallen brother they are dedicating this match to “Big Mike” and shooting in the heavy metal class…the division where Mike usually shot. Clay stated, “Charles can you put out a message to the usual crew, Eric and I will be shooting the next match in the Heavy Metal division in honor of Big Mike. My statement at the match would be “We are shooting man sized bullets, in honor of Mike and shotgun not very well, in honor of Mike.”

Clay and Eric invite anyone (with the gear) to join in with them and honor “Big Mike” at the Nov 18th Bushmaster Tarheel 3 Gun Match, by bringing out the “BIG GUNS”. All Heavy Metal shooters match fees will be added to the TH3GN memorial fund for Big Mike.
