From The Oregonian oregonlive.com 07/05/17 Multi-vehicle crash near McMinnville kills Falls City man Updated on July 5, 2017 at 12:07 PM Posted on July 4, 2017 at 2:06 PM By Fedor Zarkhin The Oregonian/OregonLive A three-car collision Monday on Oregon 99W south of McMinnville sent multiple people to the hospital – including two children – and killed the passenger of one of the cars, Oregon State Police announced Tuesday. Jeremy King, 29, of Falls City, was pronounced dead at the scene near milepost 40. King was in a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Billie King, 24. The car was going north on 99W about 2 p.m. when the driver slowed to make a left turn. But Justin Sauers, 24, was right behind in a 1993 Ford F250, towing a utility trailer. He couldn't stop in time, police said, and rear-ended the Pontiac. The Pontiac spun out into the opposite lane, where it was hit in the side by a 2007 Toyota Sequoia, police said. Seven people were taken by air or ground ambulance to hospitals, including a seven-year-old girl, a three-year-old boy, and an 82-year-old woman, police said. The driver of the Toyota was checked at the scene but not taken to a hospital. -- Fedor Zarkhin |
