 Killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq.

I served with Jim during OIF1. He was a great guy that made sure his soldiers were well prepared for their 500km movement from the desert of Kuwait to Baghdad. I know that Jim started in the enlisted ranks and am not sure how he gained his commission. I always thought Jim was approachable, worked hard and put 100% effort into training his soldiers. On his second tour in Iraq, he made the ultimately sacrifice. Jim, you will be missed.
