 Killed while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Lance Cpl. Carlos A. Aragon, 19, of Orem, Utah, died in action March 1, 2010 of enemy action in the village of Sar Banadar, Helmond Province, Afghanistan. While on a foot patrol stepped on an self actuated IED and was killed instantly. He was assigned to 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif. Carlos was not just a strong, quiet, noble fun loving boy who loved to listen to 1970's music and look at old cars, he was a patriot of noble character. He understood, he got it, he stepped forward when his country called. He was a patriot, a son, a brother and friend to many. He was loved by many. He will be missed.
