PFC Jeffrey Alan Avery, age 19, passed away on April 23, 2007 in
Muqudadiyah, Iraq. Jeffrey was born on June 21, 1987 in Camp Pendleton,
California. He was a 2005 graduate of Coronado High School and had attended
Pikes Peak Community College. Jeffrey was an avid outdoorsman. 
He loved fishing, camping and hunting. Jeffrey was a model son and could not tell a
lie if he had to. Jeffrey had attended First Presbyterian Church in Colorado
Springs. His dream was to become a police officer. 
He was raised around the military life and believed in the cause he was fighting for. At the time of his death, Jeffrey was serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq with the 571st MP Company, out of Ft Lewis, Washington. 
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Richard and Jennifer Avery of Visalia, California; his mother, JoAnn Madorran Sanchez and her fiancÚ, Doug Trembly of Colorado Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jesse Avery, IV of Florissant, Colorado; His fiancÚ Erin Jo Jacobs, of Florissant, CO grand parents, Richard and Dorothy Avery, of Visalia, California; grandfather, Daniel Madorran, Sr. of Newport, North Carolina; Peggy Joanne Sprinkle of Clifton,CO; uncles, Daniel Madorran, Ronald Madorran, Lee Madorran, William Madorran, Tom Ryan,Tim Ryan, Terry Ryan, Arthur Ryan; aunts, Brenda Spicer, Leslie Tow and Connie Underwood. 
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Provider Chapel, Fort Carson, Colorado. Interment will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
