From Beverly Bosselmann 03/27/05:

Hello,

First of all let me thank you for your web site honoring the fallen soldiers of Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a fine thing that you are doing.

I am the mother of Kirk J.Bosselmann who was killed on the 27th of November in 2004. I would like to tell you that Kirk registered for the Marine Corps in Napa, CA but did not grow up there. He was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and we moved to Dickerson, Maryland in 1990. Kirk was only seven years old when we came to this area. This is where he made his lifelong friends, went to school and worked at the Volunteer Fire Department in Beallsville. This community was his home.
Kirk got his U.S. citizenship in the summer before he was killed. He was part of the Scout Sniper Platoon of the 1/8th and was killed by an enemy sniper bullet during the house to house search of Fallujah.
Thank you for your tribute to our son.
