Honorably He Stood

For Jeff

It was a Soldiers time to fight.
He served morning until night.
Keeping helicopters up in flight.
The work he done was good.
He did everything he should.
As for our country, honorably he stood.
Hes coming home today.
Hes coming home to stay.
And on our heros chest, a flag will lay.
We missed him while at war.
Now home, well miss him more.
But well remember what his sacrifice was for.
Our flags are at half mast.
A great man has just passed.
This soldier here has finished with his task.
Hes coming home today.
Hes coming home to stay.
And on our heros chest, a flag will lay.
