From Gloria Stephens 07/30/05:

I recently lost a dear friend to the Iraq War. He wasn't just a friend, he was like a brother... his sister is married to my brother, but we treated each other like brother and sister. While he was in Kuwait and Iraq this past year, we would chat online every chance he got... which was pretty often since he felt that is was so important to stay in touch with family and friends. He loved what he was doing and felt that it was important for all of our futures especially his two small children. In my eyes, he is a true hero and he will never be forgotten. His name... Jacques "Gus" Brunson. I will never forget our last conversation about pictures that he had taken. What I would give to have an IM pop up right now saying "hey bum"! God Bless every soldier whether they are fallen or still fighting for US!!
