| From Dennis Dupont 04/15/10:
Kyle was your typical Hawaiian “braddah”, he loved the beach and he loved to “cruise”. He was a free-spirit with no worries in the world. He eventually met the love of his life, his high school sweet-heart, Celeste. They married and were blessed with two beautiful children Kyla and K.J. Now being the responsible “free-spirited” husband and father, Ka’eo joined the army. Being who he was Ka’eo wanted to be in the front, in the action. As was evident in his determination and although it started out as a “job”, Ka’eo soon became entranced with the “mission”, the Operation of Enduring Freedom”. He met the Afghan people, he met the children and often wrote home about how he’d give his rations of snacks and water to the “kids”. It’s been six long years since my nephew was taken from us and we continue to hear good thoughts and listen to stories of fond memories about him as a soldier, as a friend and as a man. He has been sorely missed and shall remain in our hearts forever. Our family would like to send out our genuine condolences and sympathy to other families who have had to endure the pain of losing a loved one to this “mission”. Our prayers and thoughts continue to be with those still fighting for our freedom and may the spirit of life keep you all out of harms way and bring you safely home to the ones who know you best! |
