 Died in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.

JARRETT, MICHAEL ROBERT Michael Robert Jarrett, 20, of Ramona, California, passed away on January 6, 2010. Mike was very active in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Life Scout. He really enjoyed the camp outs and was a great mentor to the younger scouts. Mike loved to listen to music and pay video games with his many friends. Mike passed away in Iraq while serving in the Army as an Apache Helicopter Mechanic. Survivors are his parents Brenda and Robert Jarrett, his sister Katie Jarrett, as well as his grandparents Robert and Helen Allen and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. There will be a visitation at Bonham Bros & Stewart Mortuary Chapel in Ramona on Friday, January 22nd, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Mortuary Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23rd, with burial immediately following at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona. Following the services on Saturday, there will be a celebration of his life at the Ramona VFW Hall.
