From Kei Torres 06/08/08:

I was just told of your pages honoring our Fallen sons and daughters. My son Jason LaFleur (the F is capitalized) was born in Houston, TX, raised in Lockhart TX, but enlisted in the Army while living in Colorado. Thus the Army incorrectly shows his home as CO. It is not. He is a son of Texas. But I have lived in the Seattle area for the last 8 years, so when Jason would come "home to Momma" it was in WA. Kind a dual citizenship thing.

Jason enlisted in the Army at the age of 25. He attended Ole Miss for 2 years after graduating from Lockhart High School in 1997. Then enrolled in Texas State for one year before moving to Durango, CO to be near his dad, Chuck LaFleur. It was after living there for a few years that he started working on the idea of enlisting.

We are so proud of our son, but miss him so terribly. He leaves behind, his mom Kei Torres and Step Dad, Alan Torres, sister Megan LaFleur, Father Chuck LaFleur, step sister and step brother, Shannon and Shane Wilcox. He is preceded in death by his step mother Patty LaFleur.

I'm enclosing a picture of Jason.
Thank you again,
Kei Torres
