Beloved husband of Danielle (nee. Mullen). Loving stepfather of Nico. Dearly loved son of Mary Manoukian Calhoun and the late Isaac Manoukian. Survived by his loving stepfather Gary Calhoun, extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, two stepbrothers and one stepsister he never had the opportunity to meet, and numerous friends. Predeceased by his grandparents; his aunt Sharon and aunt Margo; his uncle Abraham; and his cousin Nicole. 

Nick graduated from Kimball High School in 2003. A creative, loving young man, Nick lived his life to the fullest as an accomplished drummer, artist, and cook, who enjoyed sharing his talents with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his warm and loving heart, his strength of character, and a smile that would light up the room. 

After joining the Marines in 2004, Nick graduated boot camp at Parris Island and attended Communication School in 29 Palms, California, where he trained as a Field Radio Operator. Celebrating a friendship that began at the age of 14, Nick and Danielle were married in July 2006, while Nick was home on his predeployment leave from Camp Lejeune, NC.
