From Reab Simoneaux 12/25/05:

David was my partner when he worked for the sheriff depts. We started law enforcement together and he was then best partner i ever had. no one could ever take the place of him. I miss him so much.and its hard right now because i started with baton rouge police dept.and he was suppose to be with me. and I know he is in my heart and watching my back like he always did. he had a big heart and always was there for his friends and family. he died saving his friends from a road side bomb that took his life. but i just want to make sure he is never forgotten and that everyone remembers what he died for our freedom. thank you and love you always Dave. your partner and brother for life Reab
