November 13, 1956 - September 18, 2008
The Oregon National Guard community is saddened by the death of LTC Jack Randall. Jack
succumbed to Pancreatic cancer on Sept. 18, 2008.
LTC Randall was born November 12, 1956 in North Hollywood, Calif. to Narceise and Robert Randall. 

Following his graduation from McKenzie High School in Finn Rock, Ore. Jack enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. In 1984, Jack joined the Oregon National Guard as a member of B Company, 2-162 Infantry in Eugene. 

In 1988, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and rose
to the rank of Lieutenent Colonel prior to being mobilized in support of Operation Enduring
Freedom. In 2007, Jack began this assignment as a Title 10 AGR at the Army Operations Center at the Pentagon.


LTC Randall’s awards include: The Meritorious Service Medal; Joint Service Achievement
Medal; Army Commendation Medal with two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Achievement
Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster; Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars; Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; and the Army Service Ribbon.


He also received the following state awards: Oregon National Guard Exceptional Service Ribbon; Oregon National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon; Oregon National Guard Superior
Soldier Ribbon; Oregon National Guard Faithful Service Ribbon with Silver Hour Glass and 1
Bronze Star.


In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Jack’s memory to the American
