Man killed in Tuesday crash identified

A man who was killed in a single-car crash Tuesday evening in Yelm has been identified as Dean Sorensen, 41.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Sorensen was driving a 2006 Kia Spectra northeast on Bald Hills Road at North Clear Lake Boulevard, south of Yelm, when the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole. Sorensen died at the scene. He was wearing his seat belt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
