To the family of Pfc. Phillip Brandon Williams,
It was with deep sadness that I read of the death of your beloved son, Brandon, on October 9 in Iraq. My 20 year-old grandson, Marine Cpl. Christopher D. Leon, was killed in al-Anbar Province on June 20. I share your grief and understand your pain, as do the families of all of our fallen heroes.
Like Brandon, Chris was a Christian who walked with Jesus. Like Brandon, Chris wanted to go into law enforcement when he got out of the Marines. They are both at peace now and in the loving arms of our Lord, safely Home with Him, following their ultimate sacrifice for our country.
May God grant you peace and the knowledge that Brandon was a true American hero and that he will never be forgotten, but will live on in your memories forever.
