Killed in a HH60G Pavehawk Helicopter crash in Afghanistan

23 March 2003- MASTER SERGEANT MICHAEL MALTZ AND SENIOR AIRMAN JASON PLITE, 41st Rescue Squadron, Moody AFB.
During a humanitarian mission to aid two Afghani children who were seriously injured, the helicopter carrying M/Sgt Michael Maltz and Senior Airman Jason Plite crashed in southeastern Afghanistan. All six crew members lost their lives.
