Hampton, was the pilot on a Kiowa, OH-58, Observation Helicopter when it was shot down by enemy ground fire and crashed. Hampton died as a result of her injuries.

Kim was from upstate South Carolina and attended Presbyterian College. That
is were I met her. What a loss. Beautiful, extremely smart, all-american
tennis player. A person that just lit up your day when you were around her.
She will be missed.
